☀️ HEAT ADVISORY ALERT – STAY SAFE & COOL ☀️
A heat advisory is in effect for our area. High temperatures and humidity can quickly become dangerous, especially for our elders, young children, and those with chronic health conditions.
💧 Stay Safe by Following These Tips:

Drink plenty of water—don’t wait until you feel thirsty
Stay in air-conditioned spaces as much as possible
Avoid strenuous outdoor activities during peak heat (11 AM – 4 PM)
Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing
Check on elders, neighbors, and those living alone
Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle

🔥 Know the Signs of Heat Illness:

Heat exhaustion: heavy sweating, dizziness, nausea
Heat stroke (medical emergency): confusion, no sweating, high body temperature—call 911 immediately

🌿 Let’s take care of ourselves and each other during this heat. Small actions can save lives.

🧠💜 June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month 💜🧠
Let’s take a moment to shine a light on brain health and support those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Alzheimer’s is more than memory loss—it impacts thinking, behavior, and the ability to carry out everyday activities. Millions of families are touched by this disease every year, and together we can make a difference through awareness, education, and compassion.

Let’s stand together for stronger minds, better care, and a future without Alzheimer’s.
