After a great harvest festival weekend we ended with water fights. Having taken some years off of hosting this event, we decided to get the infamous traveling ax trophy back in action.
With 3 departments participating, Graceville Fire will house the traveling ax until next year with Hoffman Fire team 2 coming in runner up, Danvers Fire taking third and Hoffman Fire team 1 taking 4th.
Thanks to all the departments, spectators, and future firefighters who all participated in this years water wars. See you all next year!

Electric vehicle (EV) responder concerns focus on the unique hazards of high-voltage lithium-ion batteries, including uncontrollable thermal runaway, severe electric shock risks, toxic off-gassing, and stranded energy that can cause fires to reignite hours or days after the initial crash. These vehicles involve different tactics and tools and are very dangerous for responders. Hoffman, Barrett and Kensington fire got a crash course on these vehicles last night to better serve our communities.
