WoodmenLife Chapter 974 – Hodgenville was proud to recently present new American flags to several community locations, helping ensure these meaningful places continue to display our nation’s colors with pride.

Flags were presented to:
🇺🇸 High View Cemetery
🇺🇸 Brush Grove Cemetery
🇺🇸 Williamsburg Church of God of Prophecy

These presentations reflect WoodmenLife’s long-standing commitment to patriotism, community service, and honoring the values represented by the American flag.

A beautiful Saturday morning visiting all of the blessings who live at the Galilean Home.
The Galilean Home, located in the rolling hills of Liberty, Kentucky has been serving children and young adults since 1969. It is a non-profit ministry founded by Jerry and Sandy Tucker, with the simple purpose of helping those that need help and loving those that need love.

Our second quarter common bond for WoodmenLife- Hodgenville, KY Chapter 974 was Fighting Hunger. We spent the morning with the ladies at Firstbaptistchurch Bardstown Ky Food Pantry. Not only were we able to fill the shelves with essentials but we also got to fellowship together while serving others.
WoodmenLife gives us awesome opportunities to give back to our communities.

Each year WoodmenLife gives us the opportunity to give back to our communities thru the Giving Together Project. In 2024 our representatives completed 493 projects with over $242k spent. These projects are huge in our small communities and make an impact.
After the flooding in April 2025 Simms Park in New Haven needed to be refreshed. We had an awesome group of volunteers to help paint, spread new mulch, and clean up the park.

WoodmenLife has long been dedicated to making a difference where our members live. Helping our communities is part of our mission, and it’s what inspired us to create our Giving Together program in 2019. Join me for an awesome opportunity to give back to the community of New Haven. After the recent floods there is work to be done at Simms Park. We will be cleaning up, putting down new mulch, and painting the bridge. Tentatively set for June 4th starting at 4. Based on how many volunteers we should be finished within a few hours.

Thru our chapter we get to help fight a nationwide problem on a local level. Last spring we teamed up with the ladies at the First Baptist Church Food Pantry to restock their shelves. It turned out to be a bigger blessing than we imagined from spending time with the volunteers shopping, restocking, and handing out food when they were open. I encourage our members and non-members to join me to see what God is up to in our community.

Join us this Sunday from 1-3pm at Malibu Jacks in Elizabethtown for a member appreciation event. We will start our afternoon with a quick chapter meeting, then you are free to have fun and enjoy lunch on us. We are looking forward to seeing everyone. If you know someone who would enjoy being a WoodmenLife member bring them with you. This is a great opportunity to learn about who we are and why people chose us.
