COSTA RICA❤️🇨🇷
Twenty years ago, before Community of Faith even had a church building of our own, we founded Excelencia Familiar, a children’s home in Costa Rica. Since then, we’ve had the incredible privilege of returning year after year ✈️ not just to serve, but to build relationships, encourage the staff, and watch God faithfully write stories of redemption in the lives of these little ones.
Because of the faithful generosity of so many who have given their time, prayers, and resources over the years, we’ve watched children flourish, dreams take root, and futures change. What a beautiful reminder that seeds planted in love can bear fruit for generations.
This week, our team laughed, played games, made crafts, painted nails, braided hair, explored God’s beautiful creation, fed animals, spotted incredible wildlife, and swam beneath waterfalls. But more important than any activity were the conversations, hugs, prayers, and moments that reminded each of them that they are deeply loved, seen, and never forgotten.
Every time we leave Costa Rica, we say the same thing: we receive far more than we could ever give. We return home forever changed.
And as always, our prayer remains the same 🙏 for each of them to experience the healing love of Jesus, to know their immeasurable worth, and to walk confidently into the hopeful future God has prepared for them.
