At Hope Academy, we believe that the long-term sustainability of our work to inspire depends on the active of our fellows—graduates of our program.

We were thrilled to have 14 fellows, either in senior high school or recent graduates, volunteer at our recent . They helped with errands, as teaching aides in classrooms and at games, and participated in community service activities. Their dedication not only made the camp a great success but also a lot of !

At Hope Academy Fund, community service is at the heart of what we do. We believe that cultivating a mindset is key to developing .

During this summer camp, our changemakers took action by cleaning up plastic waste along the major streets of Abutia-Teti and Abutia-Agove, showcasing our commitment to environmental .

Together with volunteers, fellows, and community members, we also painted the exterior and one room of the Agove health clinic, highlighting the power of community collaboration.

We deeply appreciate our ongoing partnership with The Longwood Rotary Club in Pennsylvania, USA. Their recent grant has funded 26 tablets to support our Reading Literacy Program. Combined with the 20 tablets from their previous grant and 14 tablets from Worldreader, we now have a solid foundation of devices to serve students in the four schools within the Abutia communities. These tablets will greatly improve access to reading resources.

Our goal remains to reach 100 tablets to better serve the 200 students in our program. Thanks to Longwood Rotary for helping us move closer to our goal!

CELEBRATING 5 YEARS WITH GRATITUDE

Our 2023 Summer Camp on Abutia, Ghana ended on Friday 9/22 with a rousing and memorable closing ceremony and celebration of our 5th Anniversary -an incredible journey full of God’s miracles - a testament of His faithfulness.

We were privileged to host the chiefs, elders, community leaders, pastors and parents from the three Abutia villages, who are investing with us to inspire our children to become servant leaders and Change-makers in order to create a better future for all of us.

We celebrated our change-makers with awards for academic excellence in Science, Math and Spelling, and for demonstrating servant leadership.

We also recognized our Fellows (alumni from our program) and selected parents for their dedication to our core value of Service.

We are extremely grateful to all our investors and we thank all those who took time to join our celebration in Abutia, as well as those who watched the Facebook live broadcast.
