A 71% reduction in double parked cars, 76% reduction in overstaying loading zones, and a 26% reduction in bus stop parking, all clearly shows the CLEAR program is creating a far safer Washington Street since it began.

Earlier this week, we heard about Kurt Gardiner's (owner of Hoboken Prints) campaign to restore the benches that are being removed from Hoboken’s Washington Street.

Benches are an important, but unappreciated, part of Hoboken’s transportation system. Transit riders use them, people recreating benefit from them, and vulnerable pedestrians rely on them. Benches are an essential part of urban life and should not be removed as a bandaid solution to larger social issues.

To learn more, reach out to us, or contact Kurt directly to stay in-the-loop on his efforts.

Join us on SUNDAY, June 29th, for Bike Hoboken's third community ride of the season!

This month, we're meeting at Hoboken Historical Museum (13th & Hudson) at 10:45am and spending the day with our friends at the Hoboken Pride Committee! They'll be there to help us get the party started! We'll get rolling right after, pointing out a few important PRIDE locations throughout the City. Don't forget to dress for the occasion! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

Our community rides are family-friendly bike rides through Hoboken, usually covering 3-5 miles with a stop or two along the way. To keep things safe, we’re grateful to partner with the Hoboken Police Department, who provide an es**rt for our rides. Each ride starts in a different location and follows a unique route, so be sure to check the monthly event announcement for details.

We ask that all participants be on a bicycle (or in a child seat on an adult’s bike), wear a helmet, and be able to ride comfortably at a brisk jogging pace (about 4 mph). If you're unsure, feel free to reach out—we want everyone to have a great time!

CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN

Join us on SATURDAY, May 17th for Bike Hoboken's second community ride of the season!

This month, we're meeting at Church Square Park at 10:45am and starting the day with our friends at the Hoboken Public Library! They'll be there with the Book Bike, teaching us some of the cool stuff the library has to offer. We'll get rolling right after, pointing out all the library locations throughout the City as we ride.

Many e-bikes, e-scooters, electric skateboards and power wheelchairs meet standard fire safety criteria, but the City Council still insists on banning you from storing or charging them in your own home. Tell your council person they should not support this!

The ordinance sponsors say they’ll “aim to create approved spaces” for your personal mobility device after banning you from storing in your own apartment, but they have no answers regarding location, safety, security, space, or cost of these approved spaces.

On Jan 1, you’ll be banned from storing or charging in common areas of your apartment building. The following year, the ban extends to include your own apartment!
