VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – HELP US TAKE KIDS FISHING!

Future Innovators Academy is seeking 8 dedicated volunteers to support our Hooked on Nature: Fishing for Equity program funded through the New Mexico Outdoor Equity Fund.

Volunteers will help:
• Assist youth during fishing activities
• Support outdoor education lessons
• Encourage safe and inclusive participation

CASA was honored to attend the Safe Haven Baby Box Opening in Lovington, NM on April 20, 2026. đź’™ This important addition provides a safe, anonymous option for parents in crisis while helping protect the most vulnerable in our community.

Also in attendance was the very first baby placed in a Safe Haven Baby Box in Lea County—now thriving and successfully adopted by a loving family. A powerful reminder that these boxes truly work and save lives.
