Today, we would like to recognize Ishana Sarakanti, daughter of Dr. Naveen Sarakanti, for her dedication and service at Isaiah's Soup Kitchen.

Ishana has spent countless hours volunteering with us, helping serve meals, assisting our patrons, and making a positive impact on our community. Her kindness, compassion, and willingness to help others embody the spirit of service that we value so deeply.

In addition to generously giving her time, Ishana has also made a significant financial contribution to support our mission. Her commitment to helping those in need goes beyond volunteering and has helped us continue providing meals and services to members of our community.

We are grateful for the support of families who believe in our mission, but today we especially want to recognize Ishana for leading by example and showing what it means to serve others with both heart and action.

👨‍🍳 NOW HIRING – PART-TIME CHEF 👨‍🍳

Isaiah's Soup Kitchen is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking Part-Time Chef to join our team!

As a Chef, you will play an important role in helping us provide nutritious meals to individuals and families in our community each day.

Join our team and help us continue feeding those in need with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Responsibilities:
✅ Prepare breakfast and lunch meals
✅ Follow food safety and sanitation standards
✅ Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
✅ Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
✅ Work alongside staff and volunteers
✅ Ensure meals are prepared and served on time

What We're Looking For:
✔ Reliable attendance and punctuality
✔ Positive attitude and strong work ethic
✔ Ability to work well with others
✔ Respectful and compassionate toward patrons, volunteers, and staff
✔ Cooking experience is required
✔ Experience preparing meals for large groups is preferred
✔ Food safety knowledge preferred (ServSafe certification is a plus)
✔ Ability to work independently and follow directions

💲 Pay is based on experience.

🇺🇸 Today, Isaiahs Soup Kitchen pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women of our armed forces who gave their lives in service to our country. Because of their sacrifice, we are blessed with the freedoms we enjoy every day. Their courage, strength, and love for this nation will never be forgotten. ❤️🤍💙

We also remember the families who carry the loss of their loved ones every day. Today is a day of gratitude, reflection, and prayer for all who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.

In observance of Memorial Day, Isaiahs Soup Kitchen will be CLOSED today. We hope everyone has a safe and meaningful Memorial Day as we honor the heroes who gave everything for our country. 🇺🇸

Today let’s take a moment to give thanks to God and praise the name of Jesus for another day of life, another chance to keep going, and the many blessings we often overlook. 🙏

Through every struggle, every setback, and every hard season, Jesus has continued to give us strength, hope, and peace. Even when life feels heavy, we can trust that God is always working things out for good.

Thank you Jesus for waking us up today, for providing for our families, and for never leaving our side. No matter what comes our way, we know we are never alone.

Keep your faith strong. Keep praying. Keep trusting God. Better days are ahead ❤️

🎉📦 What an AMAZING Food Box Day on Tuesday! ❤️

We want to give a HUGE thank you to all of our incredible volunteers and to Nor-Lea’s Dr. Naveen Sarakanti, MD for donating their time to help us distribute food boxes to families in need this month. 🙌💙

Because of your support and hard work, we distributed 151 food boxes on Tuesday bringing our monthly total to 343 food boxes distributed to families in our community! 🥫❤️

We are so thankful for everyone who continues to support and help us make a difference. Together, we are helping feed families and bring hope to our community one box at a time. 🙏✨
