The Heart Behind the Meals ❤️

Meet Cristal, Collins, and Sandra. The heart behind the meals at Isaiah’s Soup Kitchen!

These three are behind so many of the meals that come out of our kitchen each day. They work together, support one another, listen to suggestions from the people we serve, and find a way to make those suggestions happen. It takes teamwork to keep everything moving, and these three make it work!

This week’s meal suggestion was hamburgers with fries or tater tots, and our kitchen team understood the assignment! 🍔🍟 Everyone got to build their burger exactly how they wanted it. Lettuce, tomato, cheese, all the fixings you name it! We almost put up a sign that said “Have It Your Way,” but we figured Burger King might come looking for us. 😉😂

It’s more than just putting food on a plate. It’s listening to the people we serve, making them feel valued, and putting a little extra care into every meal.

Cristal, Collins, and Sandra, thank you for the hard work, teamwork, and heart you bring to our kitchen and to the people we serve every day. ❤️👏

What a blessing it has been to serve our community this month! 🙏
On August 11th, we gave out 121 food boxes, and on August 18th, we gave out 192 food boxes.
✨ That’s a total of 313 food boxes given out this month! ✨
Every box represents someone who received a little extra help, hope, and love. We are so thankful for everyone who donated, volunteered, shared our posts, and helped make this possible.

🍲 TODAY’S MEAL AT ISAIAH’S SOUP KITCHEN 🍲

Every meal we serve is made with care for someone in our community.

We just wanted to take a moment to give you an idea of why Isaiah's Soup Kitchen matters to our community.

Every person we help is a person in need, and sometimes that person may be part of a family that is struggling.

What if one day you woke up hungry and didn't have anything to eat? Where would you go?

We want Isaiah's Soup Kitchen to be a place where people can come and have a nutritious meal and know that someone cares about them. 🍲❤️

That's why every donation and every volunteer matters. Your support helps us continue helping another person or another family in our community.

💙🤝 A Heartfelt Thank You to the Denver City AG Youth! 🤝💙

This past Wednesday, we were truly blessed to welcome the incredible volunteers from Denver City AG Youth! 🙌❤️ Thank you for taking the time to serve alongside us at Isaiah’s Soup Kitchen.

Your kindness, compassion, and willingness to help made a real difference for the families and individuals we serve. Your servant hearts reminded us that when a community comes together, amazing things happen. 💙🍽️

We are so grateful for your time, your smiles, and your dedication to serving others. Thank you for being the hands and feet of love in our community. We hope to see you again soon!

Heavenly Father,

As our children head back to school today, we place them in Your loving hands. Go before them and walk beside them with every step they take. Surround them with Your angels and keep them safe from all harm, seen and unseen.

Fill their hearts with courage instead of fear, kindness instead of anger, and wisdom as they learn and grow. Bless their teachers, principals, bus drivers, and every staff member with patience, discernment, and compassion as they care for these precious lives.

Lord, help every child know they are loved, valued, and created with purpose. Give them confidence to stand for what is right, be a friend to those who feel alone, and show the love of Christ in their words and actions.

For the parents and families, grant peace as they entrust their children to another school year. Remind them that You are watching over their sons and daughters even when they cannot be there.

May this school year be filled with growth, joy, protection, and countless opportunities to glorify You.
