Last night we had the pleasure of recognizing The City of Hobbs employees and thanking them for the pledges to United way!! We could not do this without each of you!!! From the bottom of hearts, thank you all!!

Last night, City of Hobbs employees presented United Way of Lea County with their fair share contributions that totaled $52,824.50!! Every cent on this check is a donation from employees’ personal paychecks that will now go towards supporting 22 local nonprofits!!

Many employees’ generosity (who are not photographed) went into this effort, and we cannot thank them for their hearts and efforts enough! Public service can be a sacrifice, but the rewards are so sweet!

We believe so much in our mission, who we are and what we do, and we are so very grateful for the opportunity to share!! Shattered Lives was something we are so proud to have played a role in. Luis Gomez and his team did amazing at capturing all the emotion this mock event set out to do. As the fire chief, Barry Young said, it may be a mock event, but all the events are something that happen in real life. (Paraphrased). It can all be prevented by designating a driver!! Don’t drink and drive. There is so very much to lose.
