Feline Community Network is a nonprofit serving NW Indiana, focused on building a community-driven feline resource center through education, spay/neuter, TNR programs, outreach, partnerships, & support for both cats & the people who care for them. 🐾 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🐾

On Saturday, June 20th, we’ll be hosting our next Community Cat Food & Litter Distribution, and we need helping hands to make it a success!

📅 June 20
⏰ 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Volunteers are needed to:
🐱 Help distribute cat food and litter
🐱 Assist with unloading and organizing supplies
🐱 Help direct traffic and attendees
🐱 Carry items to vehicles when needed
🐱 Keep lines moving smoothly
🐱 Providing resource handouts to those needing spay/neuter or TNR services

This program helps local families continue caring for their cats while reducing owner surrenders and keeping pets in their homes. Every volunteer makes a difference!

Whether you can stay for an hour or the entire event, we’d love your help. No experience is necessary just a willingness to lend a hand and support cats and the people who love them.

We have some exciting news! 🎉This is just purr-fect!!!!

We've been nominated for the first-ever Pet Friendly Community Choice Awards presented by Pet Friendly Services of Indiana in the Community Cat/TNVR category!

This statewide program recognizes organizations working to make Indiana more pet friendly through rescue, sheltering, and community cat efforts. Winners will receive spay/neuter funding, statewide recognition, and special features highlighting their work.

Voting runs June 15 – July 2, and we’ll share details on how to vote once the contest begins. Thank you to everyone who supports our mission and helps us make a difference for cats in our community! 🐾❤️

Some adoptions are extra special… and today was one of those days.

Today, Arctic, Puddles, and Cat-trina found their happily ever after with one amazing couple who chose to keep this little family together.

Arctic arrived as a tiny kitten fighting for his life. Through months of care, setbacks, and perseverance, he grew into the handsome boy he is today. After waiting nearly 8 months, he finally found his people.

Puddles arrived in June 2025 after suffering severe blunt force trauma that resulted in the loss of one of her eyes. Despite everything she had endured, she remained gentle and loving. When she arrived, her two kittens were transferred to one of our partner shelters, but Puddles’ motherly instincts never faded.

Then there was Cat-trina, who showed up frightened and alone at the home of one of our employees as an older kitten. Unsure of the world around her, she found comfort in Puddles, who welcomed her as if she were one of her own.

The bond that formed between these three was something special. They became a family, and today a wonderful couple saw that connection and chose not just one cat, but all three.

At Feline Community Network, we believe adoption isn’t about moving cats out the door it’s about making the right match. That’s why we are proud to be one of the few organizations in Northwest Indiana that actively specializes in bonded pairs, trios, and even quads. When cats form meaningful relationships, we work hard to preserve those bonds whenever possible.

Today, three cats got the second chance they deserved, and one family gained three incredible companions.
