Hi all! The YAC year has kicked off, and our fall tennis program starts TODAY for our 5-8th graders. Thanks to Ms. Reilly and Sabrina Chacon for all of their coordinating efforts. Additionally, we have quite a few other programs in the works (more to come), but for now, I am looking for 2-3 7th grade parents who are "do-ers" to work with me as we organize the 7th grade Halloween dance on Oct 20, 2023. I'm also looking for 2-3 8th grade parents to help me with the 8th grade Halloween dance on Oct 27. I've already secured the MPR, the 3 teacher chaperones, and the DJ for both dances so the only few things left to do are decorations, photographer/photobooth/selfie station (typically we ask a parent volunteer to take the pictures for the evening), communications (write-ups for the Bears Broadcast, e-mails to the grade class parents to pass along to the grade, etc.), floor layout (coordinate with Bobby at the school), RSVPs/treasurer activities, and food/drink. Time commitment is not a lot, it's super simple and super fun! Please let me know if anyone is interested in helping. Thanks!!

Hi all! Please see the attached flyer for this year's YAC ski program at Mount Peter. Unfortunately, Mount Peter can only offer us a Saturday program, but if you are interested in a Sunday session, they recommended looking into the ACES program. I assume that's also through Mount Peter, but I can't be certain. I'm not familiar with the ACES program. If you have any questions about the YAC ski program on Saturdays, please feel free to reach out to Christine Devereaux. Thanks so much, and we look forward to a fun-filled season of skiing.

Thanks to years of awesome YAC leadership, we have an amazing photo album of newspaper clippings. Please enjoy a few today. (I’ll try to post a few each day until I get through all of them.) Thanks to Chris Batt for dropping this off to me!

Unfortunately, Mt Peter has decided to not do group lessons for the YAC this year. We are disappointed to not be able to offer it, but we hope to be able to offer more activities in the future!

10/14/2020

Hi everyone! YAC window painting has to be done a little differently this year, but we are still super excited to be hosting it. As we are sure you’ve seen in Wednesday Notes, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders are invited to paint or draw their own poster at home (vertical 12x18 please) and drop off to one of two locations listed in Wednesday Notes. Please contact Jeanette Falco-Stiegler or Kathleen Bernhard Thyne with any questions!!!
