So far, we’ve had two neighbors reach out needing groceries this week.

One is a mom with three kids at home, the other is staying in temporary housing. Neither can drive to get food, so we're hoping to place a grocery delivery order to cover a few days of food.

Please help us make something happen for them. 💗

Undoubtedly, there are people in life who shape us and inspire us. For me, Dolly shaped what it means to be an Appalachian:

This means never forgetting where you come from & giving back to your community.

It’s wanting better for the next generation, whether that means providing free books or free meals.

It means loving people deeply for who they are, not who you think they should be.

That will always be Appalachia for me.

I hope the world can live & love a little more like Dolly.

Mountaineers are always free. 💖

In light of the Buc-ee’s bullying & lawsuits, we’ve decided to temporarily update our logo. 🦫💛

We all deserve to understand how the decisions being made today will impact us, our families, and our communities. Caring about people will always be at the forefront of our mission, and that means everyone, no matter what.

I’m okay with standing firm in our principles without compromising our values, even when that means certain opportunities may pass us by.

If you’ve signed up and haven’t heard from us yet, I’ll be in touch soon!

We’re a tiny (but mighty) volunteer-run team, and life has thrown a few curveballs our way. Response times have been delayed, but our mission is still very much active & ongoing.

In the meantime, we’ll continue doing what we can: sharing resources, educating, and supporting our community as we can.

If you’d like to volunteer, please comment or send us a message. We’re exploring ways to spread out some of the behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything running and better support those who are unable to make it to us.

Thank you for your patience and for being part of what we’re building. 💛

Happy Freedom Day ❤️💛💚🖤

A reminder that our community is strongest when we stand in solidarity with one another.

Today, we honor those who were denied their freedom & those who fought endlessly. May we continue moving forward together - with compassion, understanding, and love for one another.
