We'd like to give a special shoutout to our talented timber framer, Andy, on the completion of his recent barn raising!

Barn raisings are a remarkable blend of craftsmanship, tradition, and community spirit, and Andy's dedication to preserving these skills is inspiring to see. From carefully crafting the timber frame to watching the structure come together, this project showcases the beauty and strength of traditional woodworking techniques.

Congratulations, Andy, on another incredible accomplishment! We're proud to have your knowledge and expertise as part of the Tear Cap Workshops community.

This past Saturday, participants spent the day creating their own handcrafted canoe paddles in our Canoe Paddle Carving Class with instructor Ken Wise.
From shaping the wood to refining the final details, students learned traditional carving techniques while creating a functional paddle they can use for years to come. It was a day filled with craftsmanship, learning, and plenty of sawdust and shavings!
A huge thank you to Ken for sharing his knowledge and to everyone who joined us for this wonderful class. We love seeing these traditional skills passed on and kept alive in our community.
