GARRR Paulding county's first reptile rescue! We are a non profit organization dedicated to providing homes for unwanted pet reptiles. CLOSED

At GARRR our first goal is to rescue all reptiles in need and then find them good homes. But second is to educate the public about the reptile species and the good they can do for us and the environment while also easing the fear that people have of reptiles. Giving eco-friendly ideas on housing and keeping reptiles in today's family setting. With the proper care, knowledge, and handling they can

make great pets. There are obviously some species that are a whole lot harder to handle and care for than others that is where we try to give the proper education so that pet owners and soon to be pet owners can make the best decision possible to which species would be best for them. With any animal there can always be down sides and things people need to know to be as best prepared as they can be so that yet again they have the proper knowledge to give the animal the best life possible. GARRR will always willing to answer any questions you may have about your reptile.

Feeder Fundraiser stocked up good till they're gone. Tony will be at rescue until around 6:30 today if you need to make a pick up. Also take down the number 404-956-0774 always call and check availability of feeders as well seeing if someone is at rescue. We could be out on a pick up & don't want you to waste your time or gas. Adoptions and Surrenders are done by Appointment Only. I'd also like to say thank you to everyone who has donated or purchased feeders from the feeder fundraiser.

Certain types of snakes can go months without eating. This is especially true of the big constrictors, such as the Anaconda and the reticulated python. Snakes eat large meals (relative to their body size), and they have much slower metabolisms than we humans have. This partly explains how they can go so long between meals.

Ball Pythons do this often.

The ball python (Python regius) is a python species found in sub-Saharan Africa. Like all other pythons, it is a non-venomous constrictor. This is the smallest of the African pythons and is popular in the pet trade, largely due to its typically docile temperament. No subspecies are currently recogni...

Did you know?
The leatherback sea turtle may be the closest thing to a dinosaur still living on Earth. It is the heaviest reptile on the planet — a champion swimmer whose diving capabilities are unmatched by other turtles. It has confounded scientists with its mammal-like ability to regulate its own body temperature.
