Greetings everyone,
Beyond Wishes is in their final weeks of Equine Assisted Activities. This will be our final year of providing these services. Our 15 year journey has been amazing. The families that we met over the years showed us how to become better individuals. We learned patience, empathy, along with how to be nonjudgemental, and have no expectations. We will always cherish everyone that passed through our gates. Many families became our family and will always be part of our world.
Thanks to everyone who supported us through the years and especially thanks to all volunteers and Board of Directors. Sending love out to all.

Happy Spring everyone! Yes, we are still here. We know the winter has been hard on everyone. Beyond Wishes is going through some transitions this year after losing a major part of funding in 2024. This is our 15th year of providing Equine Activities. Unfortunately, this summer we will be taking only able-bodied students due to insurance. Beyond Wishes has taken down the website but will keep the page. We are saddened at this change but want everyone to know we will treasure every day of the last 14 years. Happy Trails everyone. P.S. The picture is of True Gem receiving Therapy Horse of the Year 2019 at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington VA. Such Great Memories!

This is our beloved Ginger doing what she did best, and that's helping individuals with special needs ride safely. Sadly, Ginger left us on Thanksgiving Day 11-28-24 to help in heaven. Ginger retired from our program of Therapeutic Riding in the Fall of '21 and went to live out her retirement on a beautiful farm with lots of grass and other horse buddies. Thank you to the Comers for providing that home. Especially thank you to Ginger for everything you gave to us!! R.I.P.

Greetings All! Our Fall session is now over. Everyone had a wonderful time except during the rainy week when lessons were cancelled. Enjoy some more pictures from our groups this summer. See everyone next year. 🐴🐴

Something new has been added to our website which is beyondwishes.org. We have added a STORE where you can look at and possibly purchase items that we have accumulated over the last 14 years. With the growing costs of everything we decided this might be a great way to have a fundraiser. Currently there are just a few selections with more coming over the next few months. Greetings Happy Fall everyone! September 3rd, we started our fall six week session. Everyone was so happy to be back in the saddle again. We have been blessed with beautiful weather even though it has been dry. Happy trails to all of our students for the rest of the season.

Greetings! As most of you know we've been on break and so have the horses. Just a picture of them enjoying the month of August. Skeeter is our newest member of the family, we thought this would be a good time to introduce him. Just a delight. Everyone is getting pretty bored and looking forward to starting up again Sept 3rd for our Fall session. See everybody soon.

Last Saturday was Family Fun Day! The Peplowski Family came up to Beyond Wishes for some Equine Activities. The rain quit just in time to throw some ba****ck pads on the horses and jump on. These girls seemed to just love the horses and did so well riding for the first time. Super job to Payton, Charlotte, Jocelyn, and Adeline. Everyone is looking forward to next time.

WORDS WITH W***Y! W***y visits the Summers Co Library to hear some stories from the children's favorite books. Some of them were brave enough to read to W***y. Always a good time for all.

Greetings to all. Sorry we haven't been posting anything lately, but we have been out of town due to a family emergency. However, as you can see we are back up and running. We had a visit from Hinton Area Elementary Ms. Rocchetti and Ms. Price's class. So much fun!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!! This is our Christmas Story. For you that don't know, this is Hanna. She came to us in 1999 when she was 18 y/o and Mareelyn was 10. Hanna was her teacher and mentor and best friend. Hanna new it all and was a big beautiful 16.3 hands high Hannovarian Mare. We donated her to Slippery Rock University Therapeutic Riding Center in 2006 so she could help individuals with special needs. We thought it would be safer for her because of bad arthritis. Mareelyn missed Hanna so much she ended up making several trips to see her and volunteer. That's where she fell in love with the therapeutic riding industry. After graduating from high school, she pursued her certification in therapeutic riding and completed it at Slippery Rock University (Storm Harber Equestrian Center). The end of the story is these girls are the ones who started us all on this continuing journey providing Equine Assisted Services. Hanna passed away in November 2011.
