Pisgah Mountain TrailRiders

Pisgah Mountain TrailRiders The Pisgah Mountain TrailRiders is a non-profit that maintains the Fort Hill and Ashuelot Rail Trails

Pisgah Mountain TrailRiders (PMTR) was established in the late 1960s by friends and acquaintances in Hinsdale, NH to gather permission from area landowners to use and improve existing trails and create new ones to enjoy their snowmobiles. Riding the smooth Fort Hill Trail along the Connecticut River and Ashuelot Trail connecting to Wi******er and points beyond, and wandering through the trails in

the hills, and woods, of Hinsdale, Ashuelot, and Wi******er, are made possible by those who volunteer their time. PMTR maintains 16 miles of rail trails using a Tucker Terra 1000 and Mogul Master 16' groomer during the winter and a Kubota 7040 with a 7' brush hog in the summer. You can join PMTR through the NHSA Membership page here: https://tinyurl.com/PisgahMountainTrailriders

The trails were groomed last night. Our Tucker is heading into Pisgah State Park to help out our neighboring club, the Chesterfield Snowmobilers, while they repair their Tucker.

More snow is on the way tomorrow into Thursday. Hopefully, it will cover the few bare spots out there.

PSA - There is an old railroad bridge that connects Hinsdale to Brattleboro. Our state trail deadends behind A1 Pizza, which is the end of the maintained trail and where our groomer turns around.

Use caution and ride at your own risk past that point.

Our groomer volunteer Kyle was out tonight with the Tucker and PMTR club member Kaleb caught him smoothing out the trails.

Kyle groomed from A1 Pizza (Fort Hill) to the tannery in Wi******er (Ashuelot).

The cold temps should help the trails set up nicely.

Thank you both for your contributions!

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Check out the Sno-Moles scavenger hunt.

Good morning Snomoles, who's excited for the Scavenger Hunt this weekend?! It is looking like it's going to be a picture perfect blue bird day!
We've decided to release the event map, so that you all can start to formulate your plans of attack! Perhaps a nice leisurely 60 mile round trip cruise on the flat, fast, and groomed wall to wall rail beds hitting the Jaffrey center, Mass border, and Swanzy storage checkpoints. Maybe you're into keeping things a little more aggressive, perhaps a cruise through Annette State Park, on up to Kidder Mountain and cap off the ride with a commanding view of the Boston skyline! Do you want to keep it family with the kids, the Jaffrey center checkpoint is only 2.5 miles away! For the most advanced riders, see if you can tackle the whole course by the 1pm deadline! The choice is yours, and here's some things to keep in mind.

You can ride the event any way you'd like.
Collect as many checkpoints as you'd like, 1 through 6.
Every checkpoint you punch, turns into a raffle ticket, so everyone has a chance of winning wether you get 1 or all 6!
The more checkpoints you find, the better you're odds.
All tickets must be in by 1pm, so plan your route and time accordingly
PLEASE BRING CASH, sorry we don't take credit cards.
Registration opens at 8am, and closes at 1pm.
The event is $25 per person, kids under 12 free, and be sure to bring plenty of cash for our huge raffle, and enjoy our cookout after your ride!
We'll see you all on Pool Pond in Rindge Saturday morning!

Amazing!!

I'LL BE DOGGONE
Two sled dog teams stop for a photo opportunity on Broad Brook Road. Conditions are perfect for running the canines after some three or four years of poor sledding due to scant snow totals.

All who come to Pisgah during the winter please note that there are multiple user groups -- nonmotorized and motorized -- enjoying snow covered trails and roads in the park. Caution is not only advised but is esssential to ensure safety for all.

Good morning, everyone.

We will be out grooming the rail trails in Hinsdale and Wi******er today. We will also be in Pisgah State Park on behalf of the Chesterfield Snowmobilers, who are dealing with a down Tucker.

Keep your eyes open for our groomer. Give them plenty of space and wait until our volunteer groomers motion you to go around.

If you see our crew, give them a wave, an air 'high five', or drop 'em a cash tip, your choice. They are maintaining the trails for everyone to enjoy.

Cold temps are on the way. Plan accordingly, Saturday into Sunday.
