So our naked porcupine is growing back hair and quills now that the mange has been treated and is almost 100% cleared up! It will probably be another month or so before enough quills grow in to adequately protect him from predators when we release him, but he’s definitely feeling and looking better!

For anyone who’s ever wondered what a naked porcupine would look like, this one’s for you! This little guy came in su...

For anyone who’s ever wondered what a naked porcupine would look like, this one’s for you!
This little guy came in suffering from an extreme case of mange and severely underweight. He still has a little patch of mange crust on his head that hasn’t fallen off yet, but the rest of his body is looking good and his hair is starting to grow back as black fuzz. It takes a while for the quills to fully grow back in, so he will be staying until he grows enough back to protect him from predators before being released.
In the meantime, he is eating enough for a small army and living his best life.💕

These two gray fox kits came in last week after their mom was hit and killed by a car. They will stay with us until they are weaned and then be transferred over to Cassandra Tompkins at “ Stinky Business” who specializes in gray fox. As you can see the Brother is very protective of his sister and has no idea how tiny he is!!

We’ve had a busy few weeks releasing all of our over wintered animals, today was release day for the four bobcats kits that we took in last year. We hold them until the following spring because they would normally stay with their mom for the first winter and they are still too small in the fall to be released on their own. All four were released together and could not wait to get away from us.!!

Hey everyone, Angela has been helping wildlife in our area for years as a vet tech and now as a Wildlife Rehabber, and an incubator would be a huge help in caring for the babies she takes in. Please consider donating, any amount, no matter how small will make a huge difference ! Feel free to share this post as well and thank you!

Yay! This organization is helping me get a life saving incubator for the baby animals in my care. There are 2 ways you can help me: make a tax deductible donation and share this link. Thank you!

Please take a minute out of your day and help us get this pushed through. As Wildlife rehabilitators in Massachusetts, we all lose multiple animals a year due .to rodenticide poisoning. Let’s make our voices heard and get this banned once and for all. there are better and more humane options available that do not kill all the surrounding wildlife.

Massachusetts Residents,

We need your help now on this important Rodenticide Legislation Vote on April 15. Below is a prepared email from Mass Audubon that you can send to your state senator. Just click on Take Action.

Thank you for your help on passing this amendment to save our raptors and pets

I was surprised and honored to receive this award at our annual wildlife conference on March 14 th and 15 , along with an absolutely lovely nomination letter from my friend and longtime volunteer Donna Perry .
I’ve been incredibly blessed to be able to do some thing that I love for all these years and to work with all the amazing rehabilitators we have in Massachusetts, we truly have a fantastic group of people here! ❤️
