The West Suburban CHW Initiative is celebrating seven years of showing up to improve community health, and the impact keeps growing.
In the last year alone, the CHW Initiative nearly doubled the number of clients served, from 4,900 to 8,964. That is not just a number. That is nearly 9,000 people who had a trusted neighbor, a familiar face, and a knowledgeable guide in their corner when navigating health and social services.
CHWs are not just healthcare extenders; they are community members first. People who live where they serve, speak the languages of their neighbors, and understand the barriers their communities face from the inside out.
We are proud to support the West Suburban CHW Initiative and the CHWs whose work makes this possible.
