Be Part of Hinsdale’s Story!

The Hinsdale Economic Development Corporation (HEDC) is excited to share that we’ve been awarded a JPP Grant to highlight and promote tourism in Hinsdale, NH!

We’re looking for local volunteers who love the outdoors and are willing to be filmed and photographed as part of our upcoming recreation videos. We’ve already captured our winter segment, and now we need your help showcasing everything that makes Hinsdale truly special!

We’re especially looking for people enjoying activities like:

🚤 Boating, fishing, and jet skiing
🚴 Mountain biking and trail riding
🏍 ATVing and dirt biking
🥾 Hiking and rock climbing
🛶 Kayaking and paddling
🏊 Swimming, picnicking, and relaxing outdoors

At the time the article was written, the plan was to renovate the building into 9 apartments. At the April 2025 planning board meeting, updated plans for 12 units were approved. This project was also the first, in Hinsdale, to be approved for the 79E tax incentive program adopted at the 2025 Town Meeting.

Community Revitalization Tax Incentive RSA 79-E is a state law that encourages investment in downtowns and village centers. It provides a tax incentive for the rehabilitation and active use of under-utilized older buildings and, in so doing, aims to promote strong local economies and smart, sustainable growth as an alternative to sprawl.
RSA 79-E is a temporary tax relief incentive for a property owner who wants to
substantially rehabilitate a building that is located in a historic district, downtown, or
village center.
▪ In 2013, an amendment was added to RSA 79-E that allows for historic structures
outside of the downtown, village center, or historic district to be qualifying
structures. This update to the law promotes the preservation and reuse of existing
structures throughout the entire municipality. The qualifying structure has to be
historic as defined by the law and energy efficiency measures must be included in
the project.

The goal of the incentive is to encourage the rehabilitation and active use of an
under-utilized property. The currently approved area covered by 79 E includes the Business District and the following streets in the residential district: Highland Avenue, High Street, Spring Street, Pleasant Street, River Road, Depot Street and Glen Street.

We look forward to adding twelve new residential to the town’s housing inventory at the completion of this renovation.

Yesterday’s soft opening for Flawless Detail Studio and Hi Octane Automotive was such a wonderful event, and it was incredible to see the amount of support from everyone who came out to celebrate. Events like this truly highlight how special our community is!

A huge thank you to everyone involved in supporting and collaborating to welcome these two businesses to our community. Congratulations to Jon and Heath on this exciting next chapter. We’re looking forward to watching you grow and thrive right here in Hinsdale.

We had a great visit at Revo Casino and Social House yesterday and want to share our sincere thanks to the incredible team who made it such a positive experience.

Tara, Cash, and Mike were absolutely amazing, welcoming, supportive, and truly a pleasure to work with. We are also very grateful for our ongoing partnership with the New Hampshire Charitable Gaming Foundation, whose support continues to help us move our mission forward and give back to our community in so many meaningful ways.

A special thank you to Seneca at Revo for helping support us and for arranging a table where we could connect with patrons and talk about our organization.
