Happy World Teachers’ Day!
Today, we’re celebrating a very special kind of teacher: our Camp Danbee counselors. Because teachers don’t only teach in classrooms.
Our counselors teach campers how to try something new, how to be brave, how to cheer someone else on, how to lead, how to listen, and how to believe in who they are becoming.
They teach by encouraging.
They teach by listening.
They teach by showing up.
And most importantly, they teach by example.
For our campers, counselors become so much more than the people running their activities. They become role models, mentors, cheerleaders, and people they look up to. The lessons they leave with our campers often last long after summer ends.
To every Danbee counselor who has poured their time, energy, patience, and heart into our campers — thank you. You may not always realize just how much you are teaching, but we see it. And we are so grateful for you. 💕
