You don't need to register or do anything publicly. The Safe House pledge is a parent-to-parent pledge designed to establish trust and reduce the number of parents in our community who are providing teens with alcohol and/or allowing teens to drink in their homes.

By letting other parents know that you agree that you will not provide alcohol to teens and will not willingly allow teens to drink alcohol in your home, you help establish a safer community for everyone.

We had a blast on Harbormen Helping Hingham Day working with some amazing seniors on a new video. (Hint: It's a game show theme.)

A huge thank you to the talented folks at Harbor Media who showed the students how to film the video and who will do the heavy lifting in the editing booth. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, check out our library of youth videos here:

We are so grateful for the generous gift we received from the Hingham Police Association.

It has been such a pleasure to work with the School Resource Officers and Crisis Response Clinician over the past five years. Prevention efforts have a direct and positive impact public safety, and we are appreciative of the collaborative relationship. To learn more about the role of the Crisis Response Clinician, check out our podcast at the link.

We are delighted to welcome Brooks Waugh of The Observational Speaker to be our presenter for the senior class at Hingham CARES Day 2026. Brooks knows many families in Hingham, and they all enthusiastically vouched for him.

Here's why he tailors his program exclusively to seniors:
"In less than 9 months, the pace at which graduating students make their own decisions increases exponentially. The objective is to cater the message to treat them as young adults."

Kevin Rosario will return as a speaker at Hingham CARES Day this year and will address the junior class. Kevin began using drugs and alcohol when he was just 13 years old. Before long, he was selling drugs to pay for his habit, getting into trouble with the law, spending time in jail and finding himself in and out of rehab. During all of this, he came close to losing his life in a violent incident.

Listen as he shares the details of what led him down this path, why he considers the substance to be secondary and what he believes are the most effective ways for parents and kids to make healthy choices.
