𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗜𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿! The Liberty County School System is going CLEAR beginning this school year! As part of our continued commitment to keeping our schools safe and secure, the Liberty County Board of Education approved a clear bag policy on September 23, 2025, that will be implemented for the 2026–2027 school year.

This new policy is designed to enhance safety while maintaining a positive learning environment for all students and staff. Our FFA Chapter is dedicated to spreading the word about native species in the yard. (Don’t get Dr. Guyett started on mimosa trees or Bradford pears. 🪚🌳☠️)

Here is a list of 8 native trees to consider! Please don’t forget about sweet bay magnolias and multiple oak varieties.

Swap out crape myrtle with native Georgia trees that bring lasting color, support wildlife, and grow strong without extra upkeep.
