Believers Keep on Believing Mentoring Program is designed to mentor a coed group between the ages of 13 to 17 with an adult volunteer (mentor) in a one-to-one mentoring relationship and in a group sitting. The program is also designed to involve the mentees in monthly group mentoring workshops. The Mentoring program is designed to increase confidence, self empowerment and focus on setting academic
, life, and career goals. The Mentoring Program encourages emotional, spiritual, and social growth along with coordinating open lines of conscious dialog between the students and their mentors. It provides a basic structure for these relationships and a support system for the participants involved. The program will help the mentee develop socially, because social skills will benefit them in other areas of their life. We will empower the group by focusing on goal setting, recognizing and dealing with emotions, relationships, and how to effectively deal with peer pressure, etc. We will promote positive health and fitness lifestyle choices by teaching the importance of exercise, nutrition, and wellness education. From balanced diets to weight-loss, girls & boys of all fitness backgrounds will be challenged and motivated to develop proper exercise routines and healthy nutritional habits.
