The Hinesburg Racial Equity Group welcomes anyone interested in working with others to support diverse citizens of Hinesburg, to address racism and white supremacy in our town, and to create a Hinesburg which is welcoming and safe for all regardless of identity.

We started meeting in August 2020 at the urging of the town Select Board after the town experienced an outbreak of racist propaganda. Each meeting is typically attended by a group of 10-20 Hinesburg residents. This group also includes CVU students from the various sending towns.

We meet every other Thursday evening, 7:30-8:30 on Zoom. Our next meeting is this Thursday, January 6th. Please email a request for the zoom link if you'd like to join us!
