Meet Tad! He joined Red Shoe Society Chicago after a coworker suggested it, and one event was all it took to get him hooked!

His favorite part? Seeing the real impact our group makes for the Ronald McDonald Houses and the families who stay there. As Tad puts it, even being a small part of the bigger mission to help as many families as possible makes it all worth it.

There are some nights that stay with you long after they end! Camp Colleen is one of them!💛

Camp Colleen began as the vision of Colleen Gleason, a former Red Shoe Society member and two-time heart transplant recipient who wanted critically ill children and their families to still experience the magic and joy of summer camp. What started as one dream now reaches all of our Chicagoland Ronald McDonald Houses.

For one unforgettable evening, that vision came to life again, with games, crafts, laughter, and connection for the families who need it most.

Endless thanks to our Family Enrichment Committee for making it happen! A special send-off to Jordan McGee: thank you for everything you’ve given Red Shoe, with this being your last event before your move to NYC. We’ll miss you, and we’re cheering you on in your next chapter! 🗽 And to the Gleason family, thank you for a legacy that grows brighter every year!
