🐾 Happy to help!

We recently provided these dog beds to Proud Rescue, a no-kill rescue working to expand its efforts and help more dogs in need. A comfortable place to rest can make a big difference for dogs as they wait for their forever homes.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support the important work they do. ❤️

Spring brings more than just sunshine—there’s a lot happening at ground level that can catch a dog’s attention. From caterpillars like the Orgyia leucostigma to bees, frogs, and other small critters, curious dogs may sniff, mouth, or chase things that can sometimes cause irritation.

Most encounters are harmless, but it’s worth paying attention to behavior after outdoor play. Signs like drooling, pawing at the mouth, or mild swelling can indicate your dog got into something irritating.

It’s not about limiting their time outside—just being aware of what they might come across this time of year.

Bringing a rescue dog home comes with a learning curve—for both people and pets. 🐾

We put together a simple, practical resource on our site that walks through what to expect during the first few weeks and how small, consistent routines can help dogs settle in successfully.

It covers adjustment timelines, skin and coat care, enrichment, and when to ask for help.
If you’re welcoming a new dog or supporting someone who is, it’s a useful place to start.

🐾 STILL MISSING — PLEASE HELP US FIND SIR LOIN 🐾

Our hearts are heavy to share that Sir Loin is still missing, and we’re asking the community to rally once more. He is a deaf dog with limited vision, which means he may be nearby but unable to respond in ways we expect.

🐶 Sir Loin at a glance

Black male dog, ~30 lbs
Bright blue eyes
Approximately 6 years old
Deaf with limited vision
Very sweet, likely frightened and hungry
Last seen: Tuesday, Jan 6, around 8:00 am
Location: Near the entrance to Bear Lake
No collar

🧭 How to Help Locate a Deaf Dog

Deaf dogs don’t behave like other lost pets. Here’s how you can help effectively:

👀 Look low, quiet, and close
Deaf dogs often hide rather than roam far.
Check shrubs, porches, under decks, carports, sheds, and wooded edges.
He may be hunkered down, staying still even if you’re nearby.
🤫 Approach calmly
Do not shout or call his name. He cannot hear you.
Move slowly so you don’t startle him.
🥩 Food is key
Sir Loin is very food-driven, especially meaty treats.
Gently toss food toward him rather than reaching over him.
🐕 If he comes to you
He can be leashed, but please do not try to pick him up.
📍 If you see him but can’t secure him
Do not chase.
Note the exact location and direction of travel.
Contact the number below immediately.
📞 PLEASE REPORT ALL SIGHTINGS

Call or text Jean: 678-462-7907
Even brief or uncertain sightings are helpful.

🚓 Security has been notified and remains on alert.
