🚨 URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

An Ebola outbreak in the DRC and Uganda has prompted the Rwandan government to close its borders with the DRC — including at Goma, where our Project Hope 127 orphanages are located.

This closure cuts off food and essential supplies to the city, threatening steep price increases and shortages for an already vulnerable population.

Please join us in prayer:

🙏 For God to provide for our orphans and the people of Goma

Today, we are praying over these requests from Seira Community Church in Rwanda.

We ask for prayer for the children in our Batwa communities who are part of our education support program. Pray that they remain committed to school, grow in confidence, and experience transformation in both character and purpose. Pray for volunteers and teachers, that they may have wisdom, patience, and love as they guide these children toward a brighterWe ask for prayer for the children in our Batwa communities who are part of our education support program. We ask for prayer for our elder care program serving people over 60. Many feel forgotten, lonely, and physically weak. Pray that this program will restore their dignity, bring them joy, and remind them that they are valued and loved.

We ask for prayer for individuals and families who were deeply affected during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Many continue to carry wounds of trauma, loss, and pain.

Pray for healing of their hearts, restoration of hope, and strength to move forward each day. Pray that they may experience peace beyond understanding and find comfort in God’s presence.

We just began a new academic school year at the beginning of April. Please pray for our teachers and students for a successful year. In 2028, the Kumbh Mela (the world ‘s largest Hindu gathering) will be held in Ujjain near our village school. It is a sacred pilgrimage that draws more than 50 million devotees over 30 days in pursuit of purification and salvation through ritual bathing in the holy waters. Due to this festival, our government started extensive road work. Recently, the school has faced growing safety concerns due to animals impacted by the road work, as well as heavy traffic and increasing foot traffic cutting through school grounds, creating risks for our students. Please pray for the safety of our school children and staff.

Today, we are praying over these requests from Sion Assembly Churches in India.

Pray for the spiritual growth and discipleship for those that have been recently professed their faith. We will be holding Biblical doctrine courses this summer and have invited local churches to participate.

Pray for peace in our region. There is political unrest as leaders have destroyed 12 churches and given notice for over 100 more to be demolished. This has caused great unrest and fighting. Please pray for protection, stability and courage for believers.

Please pray for the grace and wisdom to accept that we are not always able to run as hard as we have in the past even while our minds are active – this is a big adjustment for both of us.

Pray for the patience to secure a permanent home recognizing that things have changed substantially in the housing market. We have been living transiently for the past fifteen plus years and look forward to having a place to call home.

Pray for the work as it continues in China – for faithfulness to that work and for the perseverance of our Chinese brothers and sisters.

Pray for the health of the children in our full-time care. We need God’ s protection and wisdom.
