Art League of Hilton Head Inspiring visual arts for our community and visitors through exhibitions, education and partnerships. Art League Academy is located at 106 Cordillo Parkway.

Art League of Hilton Head is the only 501(c)(3) nonprofit visual arts organization on Hilton Head Island with a synergistic art gallery and teaching Academy. Art League Gallery features local artwork in all media created by more than 250 member artists. All artwork on display is for sale and exhibits change every month. lina, next to the box office, Art League Gallery is open every day, Monday through Saturday from 10am – 4pm and Sunday from 12 – 4pm, plus 90 minutes prior to all Arts Center Performances. Art League Academy welcomes artists and students in all media at all skill levels, including true beginners. Taught by professional art educators, students can choose from many art classes and workshops in most media. The Academy Manager’s office hours are Monday & Friday, 10am - 2pm.

SURF’S UP at the Art League Gallery with the addition of this brilliantly hand painted board from our friends at Pockets Full of Sunshine. 🎨☀️

The collaborative artwork is a special exhibit, on display for a limited time so stop by soon to check it out!

“We just held our annual inclusive beach event, Fun in the Sun, where we invite individuals of all ages with special needs to come together and enjoy a day at the beach,” says Karns Hazlett, Program Director for PFS.

“During the event, participants collaborate on painting a surfboard, each adding their own unique touch. It becomes a really meaningful piece that reflects the creativity and spirit of the community,” she explains.

TAKING FLIGHT in less than two weeks! Our upcoming Featured Artist exhibit is A Feathered Focus, a captivating show featuring wildlife photography by local artist Morgan Thompson.

The exhibit runs June 23 through July 24 at Art League Gallery, with an opening reception on June 24, from 5-7 pm at the Gallery.

Through her lens, Morgan offers an intimate look into the lives of the Lowcountry’s diverse bird population, capturing fleeting moments of feeding, courtship, nesting, and territorial behavior. Her work goes beyond simple documentation, revealing distinct personalities and expressions that bring viewers closer to the natural world.

“I hope my photography gives people a deeper appreciation for the wildlife that surrounds us every day,” says Morgan. “These birds have so much character, and I love capturing moments that allow viewers to connect with them in a more personal way.”
