On this Labor Day, let us pay tribute to the contributions made by "Pit Ponies", who spent their lives working in grueling coal mines, maneuvering thorough tiny spaces pulling heavy carts. Pit ponies replaced the use of children in the coal mines, most never making it to the surface to breathe fresh air or see the light of day,
