For generations, Hilmar schools have been a place where family traditions begin and continue. This Grandparents Day, we’d love to celebrate the generations of Yellowjackets who have helped make Hilmar such a special place.

Did your grandparent attend Hilmar schools? Or are you a grandparent now and you and your grandchildren also attend(ed) Hilmar schools? Share your family’s Hilmar history with us!

•Please include names, graduation years (if known), and a brief note about your family’s Hilmar connection. The generation stories are not limited to grandparents and current Hilmar students, we will take all the Hilmar generation history we can get!

THANK YOU!

Yesterday, we got to unbox all of these goodies from our Amazon Wish List, and we are so grateful!

Purchasing items that we can use throughout the year helps us stretch our PTO funds even further. When you help purchase items for our events, you’re helping us save our funds for two of our biggest expenses: gifting every student a FREE spirit shirt and paying for all field trip transportation.

Both are things we LOVE to do, and your support helps make them possible!

Gearing up for Kindergarten graduations, we were able to donate a copy of *Will the Pigeon Graduate?* to every Kindergarten teacher! These books were purchased with profits from our Book Fair, and each Kindergarten class will get to enjoy the story before graduation day! 🎓📚

We are excited to have three bilingual Portuguese/English authors join us at the Hilmar Elementary School library for a special evening. Join us for the Portuguese Author Talk tomorrow, Thursday, May 21 from 5:00pm-6:30pm. This event is open to the community and we’d love to see you there! The presentations are in English and their books will be for sale.
