During this holiday season we express our gratitude for the many blessings the Lord has bestowed upon the Zatig Kindergarten. We are also continually inspired by the loyalty and generosity of our donors whose faithful support has made Zatig’s accomplishments possible. By God’s grace enrollment has remained steady throughout 2025 with 27 children regularly attending.
This year, Zatig expanded its hours to remain open until 5 p.m., increasing staff hours, and helping many families manage their work-life demands.
We are also pleased to report that Zatig’s Daily Vacation Bible School (DVBS) program, enjoyed a remarkable summer. Attendance more than doubled to well over 200 as we implemented two one-week programs, and provided transportation for youth from three neighboring villages.
As we look to build on our success in 2026, our operating budget has increased modestly to $21,000. We
continue to manage our finances prudently and with frugality in order to preserve the endowment fund, whose interest covers a significant portion of our annual expenses.
We are also prayerfully exploring additional programs, such as offering after-school tutoring, opening the Zatig facility for broader community use, and creating employment opportunities for teenagers through a “Citizen Corp” of young adults who can provide general services to the village. All of our programming is based on the conviction that a life rooted in Christian faith will help our young people realize their God-given potential and build a stronger future for themselves, their village, and Armenia.
The Armenian Village Aid (AVA) has no administrative overhead; 100% of all donations go directly to programs. We humbly ask for your continued support and prayers, that AVA may remain a faithful and positive example of Christian values to Armenia’s Youth.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
