Dear Vendors and Community Partners,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that we have made the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming Trunk-or-Treat event due to lower-than-anticipated vendor participation.
We were truly looking forward to bringing everyone together for a fun, festive community event. Unfortunately, we feel that without sufficient vendor participation, we would not be able to provide the experience we had hoped for our attendees and families.
We understand that everyone has busy schedules and many commitments, and we sincerely appreciate those who expressed interest in participating and supporting this event. This decision was not made lightly, and we are grateful for your understanding.
We hope to have the opportunity to work together in the future and create another wonderful event for our community.
Thank you for your time, interest, and continued support. We apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation may cause and wish everyone a safe and happy Halloween!

We are heartbroken to share the passing of our dear friend and founding member, James “Jim” Sherman.

Jim was more than a cornerstone of The Parma Foundation — he was its heart. From the very beginning, he believed in the power of community, mentorship, and service. His unwavering dedication to the young marksmen on our junior r***e team shaped not only skilled competitors, but confident, disciplined, and respectful young men and women. Jim didn’t just teach marksmanship; he taught integrity, responsibility, and pride.

Under The Parma Foundation, Jim also worked closely with the Paralyzed Veterans of America through our air r***e and archery programs. He was passionate about ensuring these veterans had opportunities to compete, connect, and thrive. His patience, encouragement, and respect made a lasting impact on every participant he worked with.

Jim’s passing leaves an enormous void — in our foundation, in our programs, and most deeply, in our hearts. His steady presence, generous spirit, and quiet leadership will be profoundly missed.

As we mourn this tremendous loss, we also celebrate a life lived in service to others. Jim’s legacy will continue through the countless lives he touched and the strong foundation he helped build.

Please keep Jim’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Jim. Your watch may be over, but your impact will endure forever.
