Feeding Hands We exist to live out God’s commandment to care for those in need by loving & serving our neighbors. And every 3rd Saturday of the month, 10:00 AM - 12:15 PM

Open for food distribution every Tuesday 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM & 6:30 - 8:30 PM. Feeding Hands is a 501c3 charity providing food and other resources to individuals and families in need from its base in Somerset County, New Jersey. Feeding Hands serves those in need regardless of a person's race, color, national origin, age, s*x, or disability. Our mission is to engage individuals, churches, and busin

esses in alleviating poverty and helping those caught in its clutches. Operating from our core values of Empathy, Connection and Stewardship, we are transforming the lives of our guests and our volunteers. God is moving here at Feeding Hands. We are restricted to serving guests from Somerset County (excluding Franklin Township) and the following towns in Middles*x County: Middles*x, Dunellen, Piscataway, and South Plainfield.

It’s a lot like a supermarket market. 🛒🍎

Families choose fresh produce, meat, dairy, groceries, and personal care items - with volunteers alongside them every step of the way.

There’s lots of energy, lots of smiles, and always a reminder that our guests are valued and cared for.

During Hunger Action Month, would you consider making a lasting impact?
A $65 donation can provide two weeks of groceries for a family, and a recurring gift helps provide that support month after month.

September is Hunger Action Month 🥦

Every month, 1,500 families in Central Jersey rely on Feeding Hands to help put nutritious food on the table.

This September, you can help make a difference by hosting a drive, spreading awareness, donating, or becoming a recurring donor.

Every act of generosity helps us continue feeding families in our community.

A huge thank you to Liquid Church for generously donating roughly 100 bags of personal care items, along with boxes of additional essentials for the families we serve.

These donations help us keep our Personal Care Room stocked with everyday necessities that families need but may not always be able to afford.

We’ll celebrate together with more than 50 basket raffles, live entertainment with The Bryan Hansen Band, chef-crafted dinner stations, and a cash bar!

We are feeling incredibly thankful for the privilege of serving our Somerset County neighbors.

In times like these, when the rising cost of everyday essentials forces so many families to make difficult choices, being able to provide relief and hope means everything.

Seeing our shelves completely empty this morning is a powerful sight. It is a sobering reminder of how great the need is right now, but it also means that every ounce of food we had is exactly where it belongs - on the tables of families who need it most.

This work is only possible because of the beautiful community around us. To all our volunteers who pour their time and energy into making these distributions happen, and to our generous donors who fill these shelves in the first place, thank you!

Back-to-school starts with confidence. 🎒

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we’re excited to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to the children of Feeding Hands families.

What if the food we waste could help feed someone in need?

Every day, perfectly good, edible food is thrown away while families in our communities are struggling to put food on the table.

At Feeding Hands, we’re working to change that.

By rescuing good food that would otherwise end up in a landfill and getting it into the hands of families who can use it, we’re addressing two important issues at once: food insecurity and food waste.

It’s more than rescuing food.
It’s feeding families.
It’s reducing waste.
It’s caring for our community.

When good food has the opportunity to nourish someone instead of filling a landfill, that’s a win for all of us!

Today, we were blessed to receive an incredible 263 pounds of fresh, garden-grown vegetables from a generous local family.

Their kindness means hundreds of our guests will have access to fresh, nutritious produce this coming week.

To this amazing family, thank you for planting, growing, harvesting, and sharing your abundance with our community.
