Living History Event

This coming Saturday, 15 September, from 10 AM - Noon,
the Hillsborough Historical Society will host a workshop featuring Dick Baldwin.

Mr Baldwin will teach us how to clean headstones.

As most of you know, Dick is a lifelong resident of Hillsborough and has been a key figure in promoting the maintenance, restoration, and cataloguing of Hillsborough's many graveyards, large and small. He was trained by the NH Old Graveyard Association
We will meet at Pine Hill Cemetery, which is on Atwood Rd, off of 31 North, just past the President Franklin Pierce Homestead, the first left after. All materials are supplied. Bring a bag lunch, the HHS will supply beverages.
Stay for part or all of the workshop. Mr Baldwin is a wealth of information on Hillsborough's cemeteries, even those small, out of the way ones.
Are you curious about the proper way to clean & preserve a headstone or perhaps you've priced out the services of a headstone cleaning for a family burial plot? Or you may be simply concerned regarding the conditions of a local burial site, this workshop will be a wonderful source of information & practical skills.

Looking to volunteer at LHE? Come for a few hours, either before, during or after the event. Always in need of set up & breakdown help. Man a ticket booth, bake or make items for our food tent, greet guests, churn butter, marbleize paper, play the penny whistle etc
