Each year, the North Carolina 4-H Youth Livestock Committee meets to review our current programs and identify opportunities to enhance youth livestock education in North Carolina. One idea currently being explored is the development of a Junior Youth Livestock Exposition—an event that would possibly take place in June 2027 and combine the NC Junior Beef Roundup and the NC Sheep & Goat Roundup, while also including swine.

As we consider this exciting possibility, we know there are many perspectives on what would (and would not) work best. That’s where we need your input.

If you have youth currently showing livestock—or if you assist local exhibitors in your area—please take a few minutes to complete this brief survey. Your feedback will be invaluable as our committee discusses next steps during our meeting in early December.

Thank you for taking the time to help us plan this event. Depending on the feedback and planning process, the earliest this event would take place is 2027.

Thank you in advance for your time and insight in helping shape the future of youth livestock programs in our state.

Visit https://go.ncsu.edu/livestockexpo to take the survey or use the QR code to be directed.
