Happy Labor Day weekend to everyone!! Your Troop 240 Scouts along with our charter organization, The American Legion Post 6, were up early this morning placing flags in downtown Hillsboro and at the flag pole off Cornell & 21st.

We are honored to have carried on this tradition for Hillsboro for several years as a Troop. Service projects are a big piece of Scouting. Teaching our youth to give back and support their community instills them with good values that will shape theirs and future generations to come.

Our scouts along with a new friend had a great time mastering 2 knots that they used to build a standing structure. Are you ready to check us out on our next adventure?

We recently worked on a key Scouting skill - Knots & Lashings. Our scouts worked on mastering the clove hitch and timber hitch. Using those knot methods they worked together to make a basic standing structure!
