Jefferson County Drug Prevention Coalition

Jefferson County Drug Prevention Coalition JCDPC is a grass-roots coalition that envisions living in a community that celebrates drug-free lives and freedom from the hazards of risky drinking.

Jefferson County Drug Prevention Coalition (JCDPC) formed in 2007 in order to realize a shared vision of a community
that makes substance abuse prevention a priority. JCDPC’s work is supported through federal funding, local donors and
volunteers. JCDPC’s staff carries out the requirements of our grants: The Drug Free Communities grant which targets
alcohol, ma*****na and prescription drug use and

the Jefferson Memorial Community Foundation grant which gives local
high school students the opportunity to grow as youth leaders in our communities and to carry out drug specific
campaigns they design and implement through our Teen Advisory Board. We also partner with community
organizations to address substances such as m**h, he**in & to***co. Our Mission is to motivate Jefferson County to
change the culture of substance abuse acceptance

We wanted to take the opportunity to send a huge THANK YOU to Paul, Kristen and Prince who are pharmacists at Mercy that volunteered their time by helping Jillian man JCDPC's resource table at the Project Homeless Connect event on Thursday, September 28th @ the Peace Pantry. During the event they distributed 28 boxes of Narcan and provided SUD resources to the 90ish people in attendance! Needless to say, they did an amazing job representing JCDPC!!!

We will be discussing upcoming JCDPC volunteer opportunities at our coalition meeting on Wednesday, so be on the lookout for the link to sign yourself up to represent JCDPC in our community :)
