**UPCOMING EVENT**
Byrnes Mill’s Annual Parent Seminar is taking place on Monday, March 11th from 5pm-8pm at Spring Hills Presbyterian Church (6247 Upper Byrnes Mill Rd., Byrnes Mill, MO 63051).

This event is FREE and open to ALL Parents to attend (do not have to live in Jeffco or Byrnes Mill area), so please help spread the word by sharing this post!

During the meeting, we celebrated JCDPC's accomplishments in 2023 and brainstormed opportunities for coalition involvement in the new year. It was great seeing so many new faces on the meeting and we are looking forward to this coalition doing some amazing things in 2024!

Attached is the recording of JCDPC's virtual and in-person meeting at our new location at Rock Community Fire in Arnold on December 6th. Thanks to Nathaniel at Illinois Recovery Center for providing breakfast for everyone! Please visit www.illinoisrecoverycenter.com and contact Nathaniel directly at [email protected]. During the meeting, Peers from Chestnut shared their stories and ways that individuals can support those in recovery over the holidays, talked about various efforts around Jeffco that our membership can get involved in and brainstormed new ways to tackle substance use during the Opioid Task Force work group. It was a wonderful meeting with a lot of new faces! We appreciate everyone's participation and support!

Attached is the recording of JCDPC's virtual-only meeting yesterday (11/1). We gave updates on ways community partners are stepping up to help those in need, welcomed a new executive board member, Larry Hostetler, and provided feedback on JCHD's upcoming Overdose Dashboard. This Saturday, October 28th from 10am - 2pm is the DEA's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Below is a list of collection sites located in Jefferson County:

Arnold Police Department (located in Arnold City Hall)- 2101 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, MO 63010
Pevely Police Department - 401 Main Street, Pevely, MO 63070
Crystal City Police Department - 130 Mississippi Ave., Crystal City, MO 63019
De Soto Walmart - 12862 Missouri 21, De Soto, MO 63020

**Also, as a reminder, Jefferson County is lucky enough to have 11 permanent medication drop boxes that can be utilized by the community year-round. Please feel free to share the attached flyer with your contacts to help encourage the safe disposal of unused/expired medications**

We celebrated the successes of previous events, voted in a new executive board member, Lauren Dawidowski, and brainstormed ways that JCDPC members can become more engaged in the community/share out resources by utilizing our collaborative partnerships. We wanted to take the opportunity to send a huge THANK YOU to Paul, Kristen and Prince who are pharmacists at Mercy that volunteered their time by helping Jillian man JCDPC's resource table at the Project Homeless Connect event on Thursday, September 28th @ the Peace Pantry. During the event they distributed 28 boxes of Narcan and provided SUD resources to the 90ish people in attendance! Needless to say, they did an amazing job representing JCDPC!!!

We will be discussing upcoming JCDPC volunteer opportunities at our coalition meeting on Wednesday, so be on the lookout for the link to sign yourself up to represent JCDPC in our community :)
