The Hillsboro Uptown Business Association (HUBA) is meeting tomorrow morning, and we’d love for community members, business owners, and anyone who cares about Uptown Hillsboro to join us.

HUBA exists to help strengthen our local businesses and create experiences that make our community thrive—but we can’t do that without your input. What events would you like to see? What would bring you Uptown more often? How can we better support our businesses and our community?

Whether you have ideas, questions, or simply want to learn more about what HUBA is working on, pull up a chair and join the conversation.

We hope to see you all uptown on July 17th and 18th for the America 250 Celebration!

Highland County is celebrating 250 years of America in a big way, and you won't want to miss it! Join us July 17-18 for two days packed with history, community, and fun for all ages. Below is a tentative schedule of events.

Friday, July 17 The celebration kicks off at 7:00 PM at Southern State Community College Theatre with "Fire in the Night Season," a powerful theatrical reenactment of the 1954 Philip Partridge Trial, a pivotal moment in Highland County's civil rights history.

Saturday, July 18 The fun starts at 9:00 AM with the Ringing of the Bells across Highland County, followed by Opening Ceremonies at Courthouse Square. From there, the day is full:

- Farmers Market, Pioneer Day exhibits, and Courthouse Tours
- Kids' Zone at Colony Park in Hillsboro
- A variety of activities and tours in Leesburg, Greenfield, and Lynchburg
- Hillsboro Masonic Temple Tours
- Unveiling of the Highland County Revolutionary War Memorial
- Hillsboro Military Band Concert on the Courthouse Lawn

Uptown Hillsboro is looking more Patriot everyday! We would like to thank Heather Hughes the owner of Twisted Violet Homestead for all of her hard work on organizing this project and a big Thank you to The City of Hillsboro for hanging the bunting! Our Uptown is beautiful this Summer!
