District Ag Sales

On October 30th our Ag Sales team consisting of Tycen Thacker, Cody Boerckel, Milla Anderson, and Jackson Tuetken, traveled to LakeLand Community College in Mattoon to compete in the District 4 Ag Sales competition. Our team placed first in the district, along with Tycen Thacker and Cody Boerckel placing first in their areas. Our team will be moving on to the Illinois State Competition on November 23rd.

Hillsboro FFA congratulates Paitynn Wilson for attaining her FFA American Degree. Only 2% of members in the nation reach the level of excellence to get this award. Paitynn is pursuing her career in Ag Business at Murray State. Paitynn has held an SAE for the past 4 years to reach her required 540 hours. Paitynn is the second person from Hillsboro in the last decade to attain this degree. Congratulations Paitynn!

On October 26, the day after the section contest, Hillsboro's team traveled to Lakeland College in Matton to participate in the District Ag Sales contest. Like the section contest, the competition had 3 separate parts including, the test, individual sale, and group pre-approach planning. Hillsboro ended up placing 3rd overall qualifying them for the state contest. This means the team will be heaving up to Springfield for the State Ag Sales Competition on November 18th. Congratulations!
