Recent events in our community serve as a heartbreaking reminder that domestic violence does not only affect those directly involved...it impacts families, friends, neighbors, first responders, law enforcement and even entire communities.

Domestic violence can escalate quickly and become life threatening. One of the most dangerous forms of abuse is strangulation, which significantly increases the risk of future serious injury or homicide.

We remember whose lives have been forever impacted by violence and recognize the courage it takes to seek help, and be the help.

If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse, support is available. You are not alone.

Together, we can raise awareness, support survivors, and work towards a community free of violence.

A gentle reminder: surviving what hurt you does not make you weak…it makes you resilient.

Advocates Kiersten Hilterbran and Skylar Elliott had the opportunity to attend the Two Days in May Conference this week!

Over the course of two days, they participated in valuable trainings, discussions, and networking opportunities focused on supporting survivors, strengthening advocacy efforts, and continuing education within our field.

✨ Skylar shared that some of her highlights included listening to Attorney General Dave Yost speak, as well as attending the “When No One Cares but You” workshop.

✨ Kiersten’s highlights included hearing speakers share their personal and professional experiences, along with the opportunity to meet individuals from a variety of organizations and agencies.

We are grateful for opportunities like these that allow our team to grow, learn, and better serve our communities every day. 💜
