‼️Fleming County NG911 and Text to 911 upgrades:‼️

Next Generation 911 (NG911) represents a major modernization of the 911 emergency system, upgrading traditional voice-only calls to a digital platform that can handle text, data and – in the future – images and video, giving dispatchers more information to respond quickly and effectively. As part of this nationwide effort to improve emergency communications, Fleming County 911 now has Text-to-911 capability, which will allow residents to send a text message to 9-1-1 when calling isn’t possible or safe (e.g., for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, or in situations where speaking out loud could increase risk). This enhancement aligns Fleming County’s 911 emergency services with current NG911 standards being rolled out across Kentucky and the U.S., helping ensure that all citizens can reach emergency responders in the way that works best for them.

‼️We are still currently working to resolve some Text to 911 issues for Verizon Customers‼️

State Fire School for Tuesday February 3rd at Hillsboro Fire Department has been canceled!!!

01/25/2026

Weather update 7:10am Sunday January 25.

With conditions continuing to deteriorate, Fleming County is moving to a level 3 Snow Emergency. Only emergency response, law enforcement and road crews should be out and on roads.
With sleet and ice conditions compounding the still falling snow, city county and state road crews are having difficulties keeping roadways passable for motorists and emergency responders. Slick conditions are hampered by very poor visibility with wipers freezing and falling snow. Please remain off the roads and give our Winter Warriors room to operate.
