This past month, Bienestar partnered with Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center to bring a Mobile Clinic directly to residents at Nueva Esperanza in Hillsboro and Plaza Los Amigos in Cornelius.

By meeting families where they are, the Mobile Clinic helps remove barriers to care and makes it easier to access essential health services. From provider visits for acute needs and medication refills to vaccinations, lab work, and on-site testing like diabetes and cholesterol screenings, this partnership is supporting healthier outcomes for our communities.

At Bienestar, we believe housing is just the beginning. Access to resources and care is what helps families truly thrive.

Bienestar is proud to expand homeownership opportunities for veterans in our community. Through new funding from Oregon Housing and Community Services, our Housing Counseling Department can now offer up to $30,000 in down payment assistance for first-time veteran homebuyers purchasing in Washington or Marion Counties.

To participate, eligible veterans must earn below 100% of Area Median Income (AMI), attend our first-time homebuyer education class, offered in both English and Spanish, and complete one-on-one counseling with one of our HUD-certified housing counselors.

We are here to support veterans in taking the next step toward homeownership and building long-term stability. If you or someone you know may qualify, please reach out to [email protected] to get started.

At Bienestar, building housing, hope, and community means showing up in many ways. In 2025, our Housing Counseling and Homeless Services teams did just that.

From financial coaching and first-time homebuyer education to foreclosure prevention and emergency rent support, our team works every day to help families find and keep stable, affordable homes.

In 2025, our Housing Counseling team supported more than 290 community members through classes and one-on-one coaching, helping individuals and families build the knowledge and plans they need for long-term stability. We also celebrated 14 first-time homebuyers and distributed nearly $500,000 in down payment assistance to help make homeownership possible.

Our Homeless Services team also expanded support for neighbors experiencing housing insecurity, serving more than 2,500 people and preventing 119 evictions to keep families safely housed. 🏡

We are proud of the work we do every day to serve and uplift our communities, and we thank you for standing with us in this work!
