We want to thank Hillsboro Community Foundation on selecting the Hillsboro Community Plaza fund to receive $5,000 funding from the Kansas Health Foundation Fund, and the top fund awarded in the 2019 HCF Grant cycle. It is funds like this that are making this project a reality, and bringing a public gathering space including seating, shade, restrooms and a splash pad to Hillsboro's downtown business district! We encourage you to look forward to the upcoming Giving Tuesday (Covid safe) "Drive Thru" event on Tuesday, December 1st from 4-6pm @ Hillsboro United Methodist Church where you will be able to contribute to several funds impacting the Hillsboro area!

Hillsboro Community Plaza is excited to share its latest donation, $100,000 from Hillsboro Health Care Clinic! Hillsboro Health Care Clinic is now officially the plaza's "biggest" next door neighbor, as it is expanding and investing more than $2M in Hillsboro's downtown infrastructure along Main Street. To say we were "blown away" by this generation donation is an understatement. Mayor Lou shares more information below on the project and its path moving forward.

The Hillsboro Fire Department will have a 9/11 display up again this year. The lights on the trucks will be on from 8:00pm - 8:30pm on Tuesday, September 11th. The display will be located in front of the City Building.

We are doing "Apple Nachos," a gourmet twist on the caramel apple booth at the 49th Annual Hillsboro Arts & Crafts Fair!

Apple Nachos are thinly sliced apple slices with Ghiradelli chocolate and caramel toppings with sprinkles!

We will be needing supplies and help in booth to staff. If you have a family member or friend that would be willing to help staff, or if you could staff 2 shifts, it would be greatly appreciated. I am asking for 2 volunteers per shift (minimum) so one can handle money/drinks and one can prep apples and Staci will be there to assist as well
