Originaire du Kenya, Igunza est un enseignant passionné, un écrivain accompli et un véritable amateur de littérature. Il est titulaire d’un diplôme de Bachelor en Éducation de Mount Kenya University et poursuit actuellement une maîtrise en Langues transfrontalières et Communication interculturelle à l’Université panafricaine (PAUGHSS), Université de Buéa, Cameroun, à l’École Supérieure des Traducteurs et Interprètes (ASTI).

Les talents littéraires d’Igunza brillent à travers ses romans, nouvelles et pièces de théâtre. Parmi ses réalisations, il a remporté le prestigieux concours de nouvelles Kalahari en 2020.

Par son dévouement à la littérature et à l’art de raconter des histoires, Igunza incarne les valeurs de notre concours de lecture : encourager l’amour de la lecture, célébrer les récits africains et inspirer les autres à découvrir la magie des histoires.

We are delighted to announce that Igunza Onzere has emerged as the winner of the just-ended edition of Knowledge Connect Africa's Reading Competition, taking home a grand prize of 50,000 francs CFA! 🎉

Hailing from Kenya, Igunza is a passionate teacher, accomplished writer, and devoted literature enthusiast. He holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Mount Kenya University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Transborder Languages and Intercultural Communication at The Pan African University (PAUGHSS), University of Buea, Cameroon, through the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters (ASTI).

Igunza’s literary talents shine through his novels, short stories, and plays. Among his achievements, he was the winner of the prestigious Kalahari Short Stories Competition in 2020.

Through his dedication to literature and storytelling, Igunza embodies the values of our reading competition: fostering a love for reading, celebrating African narratives, and inspiring others to explore the magic of stories.
