We are delighted to announce that Igunza Onzere has emerged as the winner of the just-ended edition of Knowledge Connect Africa's Reading Competition, taking home a grand prize of 50,000 francs CFA! 🎉
Hailing from Kenya, Igunza is a passionate teacher, accomplished writer, and devoted literature enthusiast. He holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Mount Kenya University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Transborder Languages and Intercultural Communication at The Pan African University (PAUGHSS), University of Buea, Cameroon, through the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters (ASTI).
Igunza’s literary talents shine through his novels, short stories, and plays. Among his achievements, he was the winner of the prestigious Kalahari Short Stories Competition in 2020.
Through his dedication to literature and storytelling, Igunza embodies the values of our reading competition: fostering a love for reading, celebrating African narratives, and inspiring others to explore the magic of stories.
