The 3rd annual “Treble Hook Challenge” fishing tournament held August 15th, was a HUGE success! This year there was a total of 35 participants, which was the most so far! As big thank-you to Jeff Weston for keeping this fun time going. So much fun to see the kids out there enjoying the day. Any interest in a winter event on the ice? Comment below!

We have a weather station on Platte Lake! Now you can get weather data (temperature, wind, etc.) for Platte Lake from a station on Little Wind Island.

(KMNHILLM5 is the name of the station: it's in MN, 5th station near HILLMan)
This page gives temperature, humidity, rainfall, etc. Graphs them vs. time over the past day, week, etc.
Also gives a small map of Platte Lake, showing the locations of the weather stations. So far, there is only one on Platte Lake, on the island, but there are some nearby (for example Sullivan lake).

We are proud to share the following! President Jim Rosling and VP Wayne Knopik presented a check to Mille Lacs Area Health Foundation at their fundraiser for the Hillman Clinic. The fundraiser was held Saturday at The Brother's Porky Pine Bar and Grill. Proceeds from the event will go directly to the Hillman Clinic for updates that are desperately needed!

Richardson Township has a Transfer station that is available for residents for disposing of yard roughage only; such as weeds, leaves, small limbs & branches. It is open by appointment only. You may send your request to [email protected] or call Breanna at 320-630-6355 or Sonya at 763-370-9693.
