⚠️ We need help tomorrow morning at 9am at the rescue in Hilliard, Florida!

I recently switched one of our volunteer days from Thursday to Friday and accidentally booked several appointments at the rescue later in the day, so we desperately need help getting everything cleaned and organized beforehand.

Tasks will include cleaning bunny areas, sweeping, vaccuming and general rescue chores. No experience needed and any age allowed with an adult (over 18). We can provide community service hours for school (normally up to 2 hours).

If you’d like to help the bunnies and spend the morning volunteering with us, please message us for the address and details. 🐰

We created 3 special edition, limited time only cards for our June Bunny Yoga fundraiser series. Each event will have a different card, so you’ll need to attend all 3 sessions to collect the full set!

Once they’re gone, they’re gone — these were made exclusively for this fundraiser and will not be restocked.

Remember when I posted that we suddenly had a large number of adopters reach out because they were moving and needed to return their rabbits? Here are just eight of them. Normally, we only have around 3–4 returns in an entire year, so having this many come back in such a short amount of time completely caught us off guard and left us very unprepared.

Almost every return was due to families moving to another state or country, except for one where an elderly family member moved in and was allergic to the bunnies.

The silver lining is that these rabbits are incredibly loved and socialized, and already bonded pairs (duos). Bonded bunnies groom each other, cuddle, keep each other company, and are often easier than a single rabbit because they help prevent loneliness and boredom. Plus, two flopped bunnies together is about the cutest thing ever.

🏠 We are actively putting together a list of apartment communities in Nassau, Duval, and St. Johns County that allow pet rabbits. 🐰

One of the hardest parts of helping rabbits stay with their families is finding bunny-friendly housing, especially during emergency moves or difficult situations. We want to create a resource that can help rabbit owners quickly find safe housing options where their bunnies are welcome instead of being surrendered.

If you currently live in an apartment with your rabbit(s) and they are approved there, please comment below with:
• Apartment/community name
• City/location
• Any pet fees, deposits, or monthly pet rent (if you’re comfortable sharing)

Even one recommendation could help keep a bunny out of a shelter or rescue.

Please also share this post so we can build the most accurate bunny-friendly housing list possible for our community.
