Each year, for the Sterny Classic, we give a player that embodies Coach Sternaman’s beliefs in hard work, toughness and competitiveness, the #12 jersey.

This year’s honoree has come back from a devastating injury during the fall of his junior year to make an impact in both football and baseball his senior year. The toughness that he has displayed in his rehab, the loyalty he has displayed in being the consummate teammate and the maturity he carries himself with on a daily basis would make Coach Sternaman proud.

This year’s recipient of the #12 jersey is Senior, Andrew Cortes!
