Frederick Pennacchio, 93, of Manchester Township, NJ, passed away on September 26, 2025, after a brief hospitalization. Born on July 11,1932, in Brooklyn, NY, Fred was very proud of his Italian heritage.

As a civil engineer, Fred spent his career at the New York City Transit Authority. Over the years, he was involved in the planning of many of the city’s transit projects, including the Throgs Neck Bridge.

Fred was active in his community and enjoyed pursuing his hobbies. He and his wife Teri were accomplished ballroom dancers and also spent many years teaching others. He regularly attended the Republican club, his coin club, and his magic club. He’d often have a deck of cards in his pocket and never hesitated to show off a new trick.

The youngest of ten children, he was preceded in death by all nine of his siblings. Fred is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Theresa; their daughter Susan Dabrowski and her husband Michael; Fred’s sons Rick Pennacchio, Michael Pennacchio and his wife Ana, Stephen Pennacchio and his wife Rosemary; their granddaughters Jessica, Nicole, and Stacy Dabrowski; his grandsons Jason Pennacchio and wife Julia, Fred Pennacchio and wife Alissa; his great-grandsons Luca and Landon Pennacchio and Ryan and Dylan Pennacchio.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 1:00pm-5:00pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 10:30am-11:30am at St. John’s Catholic Church, 619 Chestnut Street Lakehurst, NJ 08733. On Monday, we will meet at the funeral home at 9:30am to join the procession to the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Fred’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association at donorservices.alz.org

We are excited to welcome Dennis Thomas as our Magic Track instructor for Kapital Kidvention 2025! Dennis brings a wealth of experience in children's magic, and we are thrilled to have him on board.

Join Dennis for his two insightful classes:

Creating a Themed Magic Show
Calls for a themed birthday party, the Library Summer Reading Program has a theme, preschools have weekly themes. How do you create a show with a theme? There are many props you can repurpose to fit a theme. Not just one or two routines during the show, but every routine addresses the theme. Dennis has 23 themed shows that he offers to his preschool clients. Many of his clients have him 3 – 5 times a year to perform. Join him to learn the secret of creating a themed magic show.

Performing Magic for Children
Thinking of performing for children? Not sure if it's for you? Dennis will cover key points to remember when entertaining kids, things they like to see and find funny, how to get them engaged, examples of routines, and maybe a refresher for those who already do this but have forgotten how to be a kid and have fun.
Get ready for an incredible learning experience! Stay tuned for more exciting instructor announcements as we gear up for Kapital Kidvention 2025!
