LSTAA baseball/softball registration reminder (registration closes today)

We just wanted to resend the note below regarding registration for the 2026 LSTAA baseball/softball season. The deadline to register is today. Registration will close on Saturday, January 24th at 11:59pm. At that point, we will begin to form teams. Any registrations that come in after 1/24/26 will be placed on a waiting list. Also, late registrants will have to pay the fundraiser buyout fee, because the end of the fundraiser selling period is upon us. So, registering today will ensure you can participate in the fundraiser at a lower registration cost.

2026 Registration for LSTAA Baseball, Softball and Teener Baseball is open.
We are excited to announce that registration is open for the 2026 spring season. This includes registration for baseball ages 5 – 12, softball ages 5 – 14 and Teener level baseball ages 13, 14 and 15. We are asking parents who want their kids to play in the LSTAA baseball and softball program to register now. In fact, the deadline to register is January 24, 2026. In order for us to efficiently form teams, plan indoor practices in February and order uniforms so they are available on time, please don’t delay, we need families to register now……

Some notes about the season:
• Please register now at LSTAA.org it is not too early.
• Last day to register for baseball, softball and the teener program will be 1/24/26.
• Any registrations that come in after 1/24/26 will be placed on a waiting list without guarantee of a roster spot. Determination thereof will depend on registration numbers at that time.
• Indoor practices for many age levels will begin sometime in February and run into early March.
• Outdoor practices will begin mid to late March depending on the weather
• Games typically begin around the second week of April (late April for t-ball)

LSTAA Day at the Harrisburg Senators – Sunday, May 25
Good afternoon LSTAA Community,
We have been offered a great outing for our community – a Day at the Harrisburg Senators, to see a game on Sunday, May 25. The link below will take you to the website to order reserved tickets. However, there are some other great details we wanted to share that are not on the ticket ordering website.
Details:
Game is on Sunday, May 25 – game begins at 6:30pm.
For every ticket you purchase at the link below, LSTAA will earn $4 back to our association. This is a GREAT fundraising event for LSTAA but wait…. There are other amazing opportunities for you and your family to take part in……
There are fireworks after the conclusion of the game, which will be a great day to celebrate the Memorial Day weekend. No standing in big crowds. You will be able to see the fireworks from the comfort of the seats in which you watched the Senators game.
Additionally, kids (and parents) are able to go on the field and play catch prior to the start of the game.
Pre-game catch on the field will be from the time the gates open at 5:30pm and catch play will conclude at 5:50pm. So while it is a short window to play catch, it is also a great opportunity. Parents and players will need to provide a ball as well as their own glove for playing catch on the field.
The last fun opportunity that is part of our LSTAA event is that we (LSTAA) will be selecting one Lower Swatara Baseball or Softball player, to go on the field and throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the start of the Senators game. You will need to have purchased game tickets through the website link below. Then, after you have purchased your tickets to see the Senators play, please send an email to [email protected] and let us know the first and last name of your player (or players) as well as a parent name and cell number, and we will enter your LSTAA ballplayer in the drawing to have a chance to throw out a first pitch prior to the start of the game.

If you haven’t registered your kiddo for our baseball program (ages 5 through 15) or softball (ages 5 through 14) please do so asap. Registration will be closing soon. Also, if you have already registered your child for the program, please pass the word to their friends. We need to get the word out at all levels, especially softball.

Also, if you have a child enrolled in a travel program that is great. Becuase parents are asking about overlap, please know that every year, we have kids successfully play both travel and Rec programs. Travel games are almost always on weekends and rec games are on weeknights, which means they can play in both programs. Getting reps is what it is all about.
