2026 LSTAA Fall Baseball and Softball Registration is open now.

Lower Swatara Township Athletic Association Fall Baseball and Softball Registration is OPEN. Please visit LSTAA.org today to register. Please do not delay. Registration will close on August 9, 2026. Please register today for baseball (ages 5-12), softball (ages 5-14) and teener baseball (ages 13-15 and cannot be age16 before August 31). Also regarding Teeners, it is possible that ages 13-15 would all be combined together in the fall depending on the numbers, and team counts driven by the parent league.

For the fall season, players will be placed on the ‘next age level up’ in the fall, to prepare them for spring ball. What that means is that whatever age level your child will be playing next spring (2027), they are moved up to that level in fall ball 2026 to prepare them for that age level in the spring. For example, if your child is age 8 currently, even though they are old enough to play Junior Pony (age 7/8) baseball in the fall, if they turn age 9 prior to May 1 of 2027, they will play Pony age in the spring. As such, they will play Pony level in the fall of 2026 to gear up for Pony ball in 2027. That is only one example, but applies to all levels (baseball and softball)

We have opened registration up to all age levels. Whether or not we can actually form teams at each level is driven by signups. If the numbers dictate that there is not enough interest at a particular level, you will be refunded back your registration fee (less any credit card fees).
We will not be able to extend registration past August 9th and will not be able to take any late signups due to lead times ordering uniforms. Please sign up early if you are interested.

We do not yet know which days of the week games will be played. Historically, baseball games are on Saturdays, and softball games are on weeknights. However, the league that we are part of has not set any schedules yet, so your coach will communicate specifics with you once schedules are developed.

Over the July 11th-12th weekend, LSTAA hosted 5 teams for an 11u All-Star Tournament at our own Stepp Field. The 5 teams played great and showed exceptional sportsmanship throughout every game and off the field as well. We caught many players rooting for players on other teams while watching in between their own games.
Congratulations to the Hershey LL 11u Blue team for taking 1st place, beating the Middletown 11u All-Stars in a very tight 4-3 final game.

LSTAA also wishes to thank Greggory Rubinic IV for organizing and coordinating such a great weekend of baseball. Well done!

LSTAA baseball/softball registration reminder (registration closes today)

We just wanted to resend the note below regarding registration for the 2026 LSTAA baseball/softball season. The deadline to register is today. Registration will close on Saturday, January 24th at 11:59pm. At that point, we will begin to form teams. Any registrations that come in after 1/24/26 will be placed on a waiting list. Also, late registrants will have to pay the fundraiser buyout fee, because the end of the fundraiser selling period is upon us. So, registering today will ensure you can participate in the fundraiser at a lower registration cost.

We are excited to announce that registration is open for the 2026 spring season. This includes registration for baseball ages 5 – 12, softball ages 5 – 14 and Teener level baseball ages 13, 14 and 15. We are asking parents who want their kids to play in the LSTAA baseball and softball program to register now. In fact, the deadline to register is January 24, 2026. In order for us to efficiently form teams, plan indoor practices in February and order uniforms so they are available on time, please don’t delay, we need families to register now……

Some notes about the season:
• Please register now at LSTAA.org it is not too early.
• Last day to register for baseball, softball and the teener program will be 1/24/26.
• Any registrations that come in after 1/24/26 will be placed on a waiting list without guarantee of a roster spot. Determination thereof will depend on registration numbers at that time.
• Indoor practices for many age levels will begin sometime in February and run into early March.
• Outdoor practices will begin mid to late March depending on the weather
• Games typically begin around the second week of April (late April for t-ball)
