Help us plan this year's SON Event!

One of Copper Mesa's most exciting events of the year is coming back, and we need YOUR ideas to make it amazing! We're ready to bring back our annual Son Event, but we want to hear what our Copper Mesa families think would be the most fun.

Do you have a creative idea, a fun activity, an awesome theme, or something completely new we should try? We want to hear it!

September 2nd @ 8:45am in the CME cafeteria

This is our Fall Grants meeting. Teachers/Staff have two opportunities throughout the year to submit grant requests to the PTO. This includes anything from supplement curriculum, supplies for the classroom, field trips, tools for teachers/staff etc. We will be reviewing the grants submitted for the fall semester.

We (CME PTO) are able to provide funds for all these requests through our fundraisers!

We will also be going over the available volunteer opportunities as well as discussing our Fall Fundraiser, the Ninja Cougar Challenge!

McDonald’s is a very generous partner and gives back 20% of ALL SALES during our lunch period, whether you mention Copper Mesa or not, so send all your family and friends to the McDonald’s by the Highlands Ranch library on August 28th, between 11am-2pm, and help us kickoff our fundraising for the year!

Throughout the year, we sometimes need some help with events, and we know that there are lots of high schoolers in the area (some former cougars), who need volunteer hours, so we're hoping that we can help them while they help us! Our first need of coming up this Friday, 8/21, from 5-7om, at our Back to School Night event at Copper Mesa. Now that ALL of our cougars are back in school, it's time to think about celebrating!! We hope you'll join us this Friday night, 8/21, for Back to School Night on the Copper Mesa field, from 5-7pm. There will be bounce houses (including a WATER one, so you may want to bring a towel), games, a DJ, Kona Ice and a fun photo booth!

Please be sure to check in with us at the top of the hill, and the class who gets the most attendees will win a pizza party!! 🎉

We can't wait to see you all this afternoon at the Meet The Teacher Night!! If you walked through the halls of CME last year, you wouldn't be able to miss all of the incredible art work that your talented kiddos created during Art Class, displayed on the walls! Mrs Burke does some of the most fun projects, and she has some awesome new ideas up her sleeve for this year!
Last year we were able to clear out her wish list, which was AMAZING and so generous!! Those supplies are dwindling though, and could use a refresh. If you're looking for a way to help out this year, please feel free to check out her Amazon wish list and stock the art room back up for this year!

The Copper Mesa Elementary PTO is looking to team up with local businesses as sponsors for our upcoming school year. All money raised through sponsorships will be used to help fund key education needs including, but not limited to:

Instructional Materials
Student Technology
Math Curriculum and Software
Supplies and equipment for our Specials Teachers (Music, Art, PE)
Field trips and bus costs

Silver and above sponsors who commit by Wednesday, 8/26 will be printed on our all school t-shirts.
